The Mighty Mighty FUCKING Bosstones are getting back together!! MOTHERFUCKING YEAH!

www.bosstonesmusic.com and they are doing a hometown throwdown! I wish i had someone to go with me so i could afford to STAY in boston for a couple of shows....if i get plane tix soon on expedia i can get them around $325 round trip from phx to boston, oh man.....i need to go...not sure if they will do a full tour or not, and if they do, hometown throwdown is still a set of VERY SPECIAL shows! ACKKKK!!! what to do??? I wish I had ska friends that would go with me! all my ska friends sold out to be hardcore/or indie/or way too serious grown ups with lives and shit...fuck that!

ankle update

ok, so after 3 weeks of a soft cast, I am now just using an ankle supporter and crutches. I am starting to walk again. My ankle fucking hurts today...this post is mostly for my mom who wants to see pictures. here are pics of my ankle...3 weeks after i broke it and got the soft cast off.

so see the previous entry. Its been confirmed it is officially broken; just like my Japanese! lol...i managed to get by on my broken japanese, and this is what i found out about my broken ankle....

for two weeks, i have to come in every morning for them to wrap it up in a soft cast kinda thing...it will get even bigger from swelling (is that fucking possible?!?), so soft cast for about two weeks. After that, I will get a hard cast (aka "gibson" in Japanese) and then the signing can begin! yeah! Hard cast will be worn for about 3 weeks, then like something else i couldn't understand the word, but i am assuming it means the walking shoe/cast thingie I've seen people have. He was like (something) put on, and you can move it..something something... Go broken Japanese! :-D

THANK YOU SOCIALIZED MEDICINE. Thank you Japan for having socialized medicine, even if its slow and a bit shabby and the buildings a bit old, at least it is there.

I broke my ankle in a mosh pit at a Balzac concert...i tried to be hardcore and sit it out and watch the show but it was useless, it hurt too much and i had to find out if it was really broken or not, so i left the show for the hospital....its just a small fracture, but i will most likely be getting a cast tomorrow, i am pretty sure.

too bad none of you guys in the USA will get to sign my punk rock cast! :(

while i can't possibly afford to come home for summer break, i am thinking of coming home for a week and a half. Mostly cause its been like close to 2 years or more since i've seen Reel Big Fish and/or Streetlight Manifesto live, and seeing as they are touring together with Less Than Jake and Against All Authority, I think it would be awesome to see them! and since they are playing L.A., san diego, tempe, then Las vegas i am thinking ROAD TRIP!?!? If i go would anyone join me? assuming anyone even reads this anymore, and if they do i can think of like 3 people who would be interested in a road trip for a super ska show or two! oh wells....just ideas right now, not sure if it will/can happen.

andy has a job!?! well its just a few hours a week at a VEGAN restaurant in tokyo! YES! A VEGAN RESTAURANT!!! But its all Japanese, and my japanese sucks, but I am hoping this will help me out a lot. Also I move into my own apartment this Saturday, and I have to find out how I am gonna make a enough to pay for my apartment!? EEK! 8-9 hours a week at a VEGAN RESTAURANT does not pay my rent! ug! I have to find a 2nd part time job. Although, I will probably get some free food sometimes from the vegan job so I will milk that when possible! :)

So its been a while...

I have been writing in my japanese journal, so i can practice my (bad) japanese! lol, if you read japanese and you wanna read it i can give you my mixi link. Yeah. Nobody right? lol.

so I saw NOFX at a "punk" spring festival with the toy dolls...other shitty bands included jimmy eat world (they are punk?) and new found glory (they are punk?) and other bands so shitty i dare not even mention their name. One huge disappointment was the dropkick murphy's. I used to like them back in the day as a four piece oi-punk band, they rocked. Now they are a flogging molly rip off band and did not play even ONE old punk song, NOT EVEN ONE THOSE MOTHERFUCKERS!!! I hate them!

I just got back from seeing Lady Sovereign perform in JAPAN!?! WTF? and it was awesome as fuck! Talked to an australian here in vacation right behind me who was in love with SOV (lady sovereign) and it was a good time. I got me an SOV shirt and it shall be sported next time I spit into the mic for sure! Oh I am doing LOTS of hip hop demos now, I like them...I rapped a couple songs at a school festival and even got props from the african american kids, 2 of them that rap. Uh i guess I think being accepted by african american kids makes me a "real" rapper haha.

why do i manage to get myself in to the worst situations in the dating department? I just made out with my Japanese friend (of over a year), who is kinda a friend of mitsu's if only through me. and was/is involved with a friend of mitsu's that is a pilot from the USA (that already has a b/f in the states!) Confused?! I am!!!

anyways, i really like him, and It was awesome to make out with someone who i really like, and just make out, not have to get into heavy stuff...its been a while since i got to make out with someone i really liked and not have to worry about it leading to other stuff. TMI i know! lol.

in other news, i am working out the logistics of getting my very own VERY SHITTY apartment here in tokyo! fun stuff...jobs in Japan, guilt-tripping a rich grandpa that has never been part of my life, and a little help from my mom who is already in debt, but wants to see the first member of our family graduate! go me! :) I am actually gonna do this yo! get me a B.A. !! and get me thousands of dollars in debt! double yeah! :)

so i'm emo as fuck...i don't know why and I don't care.

Japanese is frustrating, I am feeling again like I know nothing. Well i know enough to know I don't know that much? or something.

I miss the U.S., but i don't at the same time. I don't know what the fuck I wanna do. I am fighting with mitsu more and more, and I need to find a way to make enough money to get my own apartment which means I will have less time to study japanese cause i will be working at an english conversation school. I really don't wanna work at an English conversation school. I'd like to work at a vegetarian restaurant so I have to speak japanese, but the money is like 1/2 to 1/3 of what an english school pays. FUCK.

after waiting over 3 weeks, my skateboard finally came through the mail today! From the USA! So i have a skateboard and skate shoes (sent from home). I took my board out for a few minutes, and came close to getting hit by a car and a bicycle in a period of 5 minutes! This will be fun fun fun! :) Tokyo (japanese) people have no idea what to do when they see a foreinger flying at them on a skateboard....what is this foreinger riding on? this board with wheels?!

Pray I don't get killed!

p.s. Four day weekend coming up. I have recorded a demo of a rap song in japanese for a "Gaijin" (foreigner) rap group I am starting. Also some MC Fancy Pants stuff was recorded. This weekend will give me time to record and mix and upload MC Fancy Pants and Gaijin Burger (japanese rap group) tracks.

Spongebob - also lame, I thought this is gonna be awesome (just like i thought about mallrats). Ok spongebobs voice is too low. and patricks low "dumb" voice? yeah its super high pitched, WTF?! Squidsworths voice blows too. No wonder the default on this dvd was english with subtitles, cause the dubs blow, why did they even do them?

japanese classes

so I enrolled in two japanese classes, one was too easy and the other is way too hard. So i get to stay in the class that is way too hard. I am going to need to study kanji (chinese writing) like a mother fucker, and memorize like 40-100 words every two weeks, so 20-50 words a week? plus do a reading which will require more studying of new kanji and vocab i SHOULD already know. this is gonna be murder, of course people are like "you can do it", yeah, i CAN but if it will be done....what am I doing not studying now...shit....gots to get my 2 hours of japanese studying per day in soon....shit!
